The Mammoth Site Opening May 22, 2020
The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs, SD Inc. plans to reopen to the public on May 22, 2020, for the season.
The Site understands that this is a very fluid situation as it changes daily and we will continue to monitor it closely. We will continue to work with Local and State Leaders on the steps to ensure the safety of our employees and visitors.
The Mammoth Site is making changes and upgrades as we move towards a reopen to the public. Visitors can expect to see physical barriers at all registers, we ask our guests to use touchless transactions as much as possible. The Mammoth Site will no longer offer guided tours as an option during your visit. We ask that you download the self-guided tour app before you arrive at the Site. We also ask that our visitors please practice the physical distancing guidelines of 6 feet or 2 meters apart from each other. We will have signage reminding guests of physical distancing as well as adding hand sanitizer stations throughout the museum for our guests and employees.
Please continue to visit mammothsite.org or our Facebook page as we make updates as they become available. This opening is subject to change as changes happen daily with COVID-19. Please feel free to visit the CDC for guidance on Travel https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-in-the-us.html
