The Mammoth Site is working on an exciting new exhibit, “Ice Age Survivor: South Dakota’s Pronghorn Antelope." Geo-Spatial Lab Assistant Tasha Anderson is working with Research Associate Rich White to reconstruct some of the extinct relatives of the modern pronghorn. The exhibit will highlight the importance of the living American Pronghorn as one of South Dakota’s iconic large mammals. Pronghorn fossils have been found at The Mammoth Site, and the new exhibit will teach visitors about them and about their extinct ancestors. There will be lots to see and touch when this exhibit opens in the summer!
